Where to Stay for Cherokee Lake Tournaments: Boat Parking, Charging & a Practice Pond

A three-bedroom Barndo B suite living area at Cedar Pond Farms, sleeping a full tournament fishing team

Tournament week on Cherokee Lake asks three things of your lodging: somewhere safe and level for the boat, power to keep the batteries topped, and beds close enough to the ramp that a 5:40 blast-off doesn't hurt. Cedar Pond Farms — a working Highland cow farm in New Market — was practically laid out for it.

The boat sleeps well here too

Park the rig beside your unit on the farm's gravel aprons — no garage clearance bars, no towering deck, nobody boxed in. Exterior outlets sit close enough for trickle chargers, so trolling motor and cranking batteries drink all night while you do the same in a real bed.

Five minutes of casting before dinner

Our two-acre pond holds catch-and-release catfish and a dock made for exactly this: testing the new jig, re-tying with daylight left, or letting your co-angler's kids catch their first whiskers. It is the practice water and the wind-down water in one.

Rooms for a team, or the whole trail

One-bedroom suites for a travel-light pro, three-bedroom B suites sleeping fourteen for a college team, or an entire barndo building that sleeps twenty-two when the whole club fishes the Morristown Marine Team Trail stop together. Full kitchens, laundry for wet gear, and porches over the pasture.

Booked direct means hosted by the farm

The people who feed the herd send your door code and answer at nine at night — ask about early coffee, late weigh-in returns, or adding the Premium Highland Cow Experience for the family on the off day. It is the one thing on the schedule that out-fishes fishing.

Tell us your tournament dates — we will hold the parking with the room.
