Ours involves a pasture
About half an hour from the racks, Cedar Pond Farms trades fluorescent light for golden hour: a barndo porch, the Highland herd grazing below, dinner from your own kitchen instead of a food court. The trunk full of bags rides home to a parking spot beside your door — free, level, no deck ticket to lose.
The split-crew weekend
Half the party shops; half stays for farm business — the two-acre catch-and-release catfish pond, the hens, fifty acres of walking. Everyone reunites for the Premium Highland Cow Experience: two hours in the field with cows whose coats out-texture anything in the outlets.
