This is not a cabin off the strip

Gatlinburg cabins have their place. This is the other kind of getaway: a farm, not a rental row. A host, not a lockbox. A ridge where the loudest thing at night is the herd settling in.

You are the farm's own guests. The people who feed the Highland cows are the people who set your suite — a pair of Cedar Pond robes, a Gelato Brothers 4-pack in the freezer, fresh flowers cut from the farm's gardens, espresso pods by the machine.
The animals are the neighbours. Highland cows at the fence, chickens outside some of the doors, fresh eggs gathered a few steps from the porch.
Small on purpose. Six one-bedroom suites across three barndos — never a crowd, never a parking lot.
The mountains are close, the noise is not. Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, Anakeesta and Cherokee Lake are all a drive away; the evening comes back to a porch and a pasture.
