The person who walks you out to the herd is not reading from a script. Our guides are the same people who feed the cows, fill the water, brush out the coats and check every animal long before the first gate opens to guests. When a half-ton Highland leans into your hand like a house cat, that calm was built by them, morning after morning.
A tip is never required. Your ticket pays for the experience. A tip is a thank-you to the people who made it — and if your visit was a good one, it is the most direct way to say so.
Where a tip goes
- To the guides on your visit. Shared evenly among the team who walked you out — or, if you pick one guide by name, all of it goes to them.
- All of it. The farm takes no fee and charges no tax on a tip.
- On their paycheck. Tips are paid to the team through payroll, so they land with the next pay run.
How to leave one
Booked on our website
Your confirmation email, your My Visits page and your photo email each carry a “Leave a tip for the team” button. It stays open for a while after your visit — plenty of guests tip once their photos arrive.
Booked through GetYourGuide, Airbnb or Viator
The price you paid the booking site doesn’t include anything for your guide. Open the waiver link we send before your visit (your guide can also show it to you at the gate) — after you sign, the “Leave a tip for the team” button is right there on the same page, and it works after your visit too.
Cash
Always welcome, handed straight to your guide at the end of the tour.
Come see what they do
Read A Morning of Chores With Your Farm Guide on the Farm Journal — what happens on the farm before you arrive — or book a Fluffy Cow Experience and meet the team yourself.
